Hi, I’m Jamie Dockery, founder of H1ghway.

I am an English and History teacher based in Carlow with almost twenty years of teaching experience. Over that time, I have worked with students of all abilities and have developed a strong understanding of what helps students succeed in the classroom and in exams.

I currently teach English and History in Tyndall College, Carlow, and I am also a Leaving Certificate examiner. My exam commentary has appeared in the Irish Times, Irish Independent and Irish Examiner, and I have worked as a subject expert and content creator for Studyclix and previously for Examcraft.

Alongside my teaching role, I deliver weekly revision classes with The Carlow Academy and work with students one to one to help them improve their confidence, sharpen their exam technique and achieve their academic goals.

While this website is currently focused mainly on Leaving Certificate English, I also provide support in Leaving Certificate History, Junior Cycle English and Junior Cycle History. My aim is to provide clear, practical and high quality support for students preparing for exams, with a focus on helping them feel more confident, more organised and better prepared.

Whether a student is aiming for a top grade, needs help building confidence or simply wants more structure and guidance, I aim to provide lessons that are engaging, supportive and tailored to their needs.
